Toowoomba Bearings & Hydraulics (TBH) - the only local bearings supply company that also specialises in hydraulics, stocking over 40,000 products for retail and trade customers, and providing full workshop facilities for hydraulic repairs, maintenance and field service.

We are renowned for providing high Quality Hydraulic and Industrial hose, fittings & components to the Mining, Construction, Earthmoving and Industrial markets.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we now have a new opportunity for a self-starter with a mechanical background to service and grow our Mobile Hydraulics Service Division throughout the Toowoomba and Darling Downs regions.  

This is a ‘self-employment’ opportunity, not a job.  You will operate as our TBH Mobile Hose Van Distributor in Toowoomba and surrounds.

In summary, WE will :-

 

• Provide a fully equipped Service Vehicle under an Equipment Hire Agreement

• Provide competitive ‘Pricing’ for all hydraulic hoses & fittings under a Distributor Agreement

• Give you priority access to ‘inhouse’ Services provided by our Hydraulics Workshop in Toowoomba, at an agreed rate

• Give you access to our full range of Industrial supply products at ‘distributor prices’

• Provide Marketing Support to promote the Mobile Hydraulics Service throughout the area

• Provide normal 30 Day Trading Terms on Stock & Materials purchased from us

 

In return, YOU will :-

• Service our TBH ‘Hydraulics’ customers, and invoice us at agreed rates

• Acquire, service, and invoice your own customers directly

• Set your own prices for your customers

• Purchase all hydraulic hoses & fittings from us

• Service and maintain the Equipment provided to you under the Equipment Hire Agreement

• Deliver consistent, accurate, high-quality service to all customers, ours and yours

 

The Person

​

Ideally you will have at least 5 years experience with hydraulic hose maintenance across heavy mobile equipment including rigs, vehicle loading cranes, road transport and fixed plant sectors.  Other requirements include:-

​​

• Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices accurately

• A Mature attitude and ability to work unsupervised

• An understanding of WHS and Safe Work Practices

• Clean Driving Record

 

You must possess relevant trade qualifications, such as a mechanical or hydraulic fitter with previous experience in a similar role.  You must also be passionate and energetic and possess excellent skills in communication.
